Samsung Display extends South Korea LCD production for unspecified period

SEOUL (Reuters) – Samsung Electronics’ present unit acknowledged on Tuesday it will extend production of liquid crystal present (LCD) panels for TVs and screens, as additional people sought home leisure all through the coronavirus pandemic.
Samsung Display’s decision to extend LCD production in South Korea for an unspecified period of time overrides its announcement in March that it’d end all production by the highest of the 12 months to focus on additional superior know-how.
Samsung Display acknowledged the scale of the extension would rely on profitability considerations and market conditions. It had acknowledged in late October that it was considering a “short-term” extension.
