LONDON (Reuters) – A speedy shift to online buying in Britain due to COVID-19 has boosted retailers’ sales and share prices, even if footfall in extreme street retailers stays correctly beneath pre-pandemic ranges.
The half-a-trillion dollar retail enterprise suffered a near-fatal blow in March, when the United Kingdom enforced a lockdown to limit the unfold of the virus.
