Rapper T.I. in $75,000 U.S. settlement over cryptocurrency offering

WASHINGTON (Reuters) – Grammy award-winning rapper Clifford Harris, usually known as T.I., agreed to pay a U.S. regulator $75,000 to settle charges that he broke securities authorized pointers by selling fraudulent crypto-currency investments, the corporate acknowledged on Friday.
The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) acknowledged it had charged the Atlanta rapper and actor along with 4 associates, along with film producer Ryan Felton who it says managed the companies FLiK and CoinSpark that carried out the preliminary coin decisions.
T.I. neither admitted nor or denied the SEC’s findings. His supervisor did not immediately reply to a request for comment.
T.I., 39, is most interesting recognized for 2008 hits “Whatever You Like,” “Live Your Life” and “Swagga Like Us,” and was featured on Robin Thicke’s No. 1 single “Blurred Lines” in 2013.
