MANILA (Reuters) – In the middle of a coronavirus lockdown throughout the Philippine capital, Grace Lagaday was struggling to breastfeed her new baby with out milk storage bottles and nursing pads.
With shopping for centres shut and public movement restricted, Lagaday turned to a centuries-old methodology of trade with a model new tech twist: online bartering.
A search of Facebook barter trade groups found the offers she wished for her baby lady they normally had been in Lagaday’s palms the next day, in return for baggage of M&Ms candies and a jar of Nutella unfold.
