Crypto exchange Coinbase hit by connection, latency problems as bitcoin plummets

LONDON (Reuters) – Cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase talked about on Thursday its retail and professional-focused platforms had been hit by tech problems, with prospects reporting difficulty shopping for and promoting as bitcoin plunged within the path of its largest one-day drop since September.
California-based Coinbase talked about on its site at 14:14 GMT it was investigating connectivity problems, together with at 14:42 GMT that it had acknowledged the difficulty and utilized a solution.
In a separate put up at 15:21 GMT on its Coinbase Pro web site it talked about “elevated latencies impacting order entry and settlement” for its Coinbase Pro service, together with it was investigating the difficulty.
A spokesman for Coinbase, one in all many largest cryptocurrency exchanges, declined to comment.
