EU plans to legislate for common phone charger despite Apple grumbles

BRUSSELS (Reuters) – The European Commission will on Thursday present a legislative proposal for a common charger for cell telephones, tablets and headphones, a person conscious of the matter acknowledged – a switch probably to impact iPhone maker Apple better than its rivals.
