‘Big Short’ investor Burry says he’s no longer betting against Tesla – CNBC
(Reuters) – Investor Michael Burry of “The Big Short” fame talked about he was no longer betting against Tesla Inc and that his place was solely a commerce, CNBC reported on Friday.
Burry’s Scion Asset Management talked about in a regulatory submitting in mid-May it had put selections on 800,100 Tesla shares as of the highest of the first quarter. Details on the strike price of the locations, their price and whether or not or not that they had been part of a broader commerce weren’t obtainable.
Based on Tesla’s closing price of $667.93 on the end of the first quarter, the value of that many shares would have been about $534 million. The exact price of the alternatives place was not acknowledged.
