Japan govt says companies targeted by China-backed cyber hacking group

TOKYO (Reuters) – Japanese companies have been targeted by a cyber hacking group often called APT40, authorities spokesperson Katsunobu Kato talked about on Tuesday, together with “the Chinese authorities could be very seemingly” behind the assault.
The comment by Kato comes after the United States and a coalition of allies accused China’s Ministry of State Security on Monday of a world cyber hacking advertising and marketing marketing campaign.
“We are sustaining an in depth eye, with sturdy concern,” Kato knowledgeable reporters at a each day press briefing.
